"The Crater" in this month's American Songwriter magazine
Hey, who suddenly likes songwriting contests? Me!
"The Crater" took 3rd place in the May/June edition of American Songwriter's lyric contest. Aside from this being my first songwriting contest entry and/or recognition, I'm really glad "The Crater" got into the magazine because its canyon-sized runtime disqualifies it from most other songwriting contests, and it's the fan favorite off of the EP so far. The current issue is available at most megachain bookstores, and it's also available online.
Other notes: the Underground Lounge show last night was fun. It's looking like I'll be able to book a weekend gig there now, so thanks to Team Chicago for hauling ass out to Wrigleyville during a home game. Is there a medal of bravery for risking life and limb against Cubs fans and parking attendants?
