Fairly Significant News, Buried in a Show Announcement
What could possibly be so important right on the heels of the American Songwriter contest and the inaugural Monthly Mix poll, you ask?? Why can't I just leave this blog alone for a while?? And let all of you catch up on your real work??
A week from today, Thursday, May 15th, at 9:30pm, is my first show with Canasta, the best thing to happen to orchestral pop since band geeks became cool again. We're playing at Beat Kitchen (17+, tix are $10), and yes, 9:30 means 9:30, for those of you who care about being rested for work on a Friday.
This is kind of a last-minute show (filling in for a cancellation), so I haven't had a chance to properly announce that I've joined Canasta's ranks, or who they are or what they do. Might I direct you to their very organized website so you could find out? Yes, yes I might.
My bio isn't online yet, so to verify that I am actually in this band, I recommend coming to the Beat Kitchen on Thursday, May 15th at 9:30pm. There, you will find ample proof and sweet, sweet orchestral pop.
